2. Establish some ground rules
One of the things most likely to cause friction in a house share is members of the household behaving in a manner acceptable to other housemates. So why not establish some ground rules regarding loud music, visitors, replacing the toilet roll, etc., and if everybody plays by those rules then there is a much greater chance of harmony.
3. Work out a rota
There are some jobs that need doing, but nobody likes doing them. There are several ways of approaching this in a house share. You could decide to live in the dirt that you create until the first person dies of legionnaires disease, or you could decide to keep the place clean and tidy. They best way to achieve this is to make a rota of all of the chores that everybody sticks to right from the beginning, and at least there s something to refer to if somebody is not pulling their weight!
4. Budget for household bills

5. Treat your housemates how you would like to be treated
