I am filling in an online form to apply for vacation work right now, at one part of the form it is asking for my ID number.
I wonder if they have the right to request for private details such as this? it says its compulsory to fill in ID number... anyone knows if it is safe to do so? Job applications are usually tough - how should you complete them? Should you chase them up when there is no response? You do need to fill in your ID number. Companies use that for background checks and credit checks. It should say on the application what it's for, and yes it's safe. If you don't fill it out, your application will be tossed away or will not go thru to the HR department if it's not filled out completely.
