Just to add my 2 cents: Actually Hapag-Lloyd (only one P - Hamburg-Amerikanische Packetfahrt-Aktiengesellschaft) is also quite an important player in the German Charter Airline market.
$1840 CAD all taxes in from YVR-HKG (about the same from YYC) www-wds.worldbank.org/servlet/WDSContentServer/WDSP/IB/2003/12/04/:: that Mexico could no longer service its external debt to international commercial banks. the rate of asset ac- cumulation, to replacing explicit http://www-wds.worldbank.org/servlet/WDSContentServer/WDSPmits0of0stabilization.txtHOME |

Any idea how much the cheapest upgradeable H fare is? Thank you.

FWIW, the HLXE1 fare from YVR @$2189 doesn't seem to have any restrictions on it, including no advance purchase or change penalties.
Thanks again BlondeBomber and Academic.
Zhaobao - exactly. Tried to book JFK-HKG RT D class and it was impossible to book - despite C inventory is at C9. Even the AP agent suggested me to book on UA. It's ridiculous.
So looking to clean out my Aeroplan account and discovered that Air Canada is not opening up any YVR/HKG business class seats for reward booking in the forseeable future.
It seems AC/Aeroplan does not want to give any award tickets away, they want us to buy $$$$ so it helps with the cash flow.
I guess it makes sense as every ticket we get "free" means they are not selling one.

AC is so uncompetitive on award ticket availability its pathetic. The major US airlines offer all their FF members access to front cabin awards where you want to go, when you want to go, through instant KK programs.
