Has anyone noticed the drop in customer service at Avis? I am a Preferred Select member and I have to fight for the promised upgrades. The staff at avis counters seem to be less than well trained. Many don't even know about the Preferred Select program. Just recently, at BWI, I had to resolve an issue at the counter and there was a lady with a badge that said "Trainer" and 3 that said "Trainee" and sure enough, it was a very long wait. Any others had bad experiences? Does anyone know if Hertz or National have similar programs who might want my business? I am also preferred select. One thing you must understand is that the upgrade is not guaranteed. It is subject to availability.
I get the training feeling when I talk to Avis over the phone http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
Actually, if one of the larger car rental places would just get my points credited to my ff/hotel accounts within a week. I would use them even with shoddy customer service.
7 + weeks and waiting (they said dont even call until 8 weeks http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
