I believe BOB has been extended to all domestic routes as of the middle of this month, so YYC, YEG and YVR no longer have full meals in the back. I know this is the case of YEG and so too YYC. It is curious, however, that for same day standby purposes, AE tickets are considered Full Fare, so he equivilent of Latitude. So they should qualify for the free sandwich.
yes, they now set the cut off time at 4h30min, which leaves free meal service on only long haul flights
Alright thanks, it looks as if (just to be safe) I should be traveling with $10 to go to some fast-food joint once I arrive.

No you will not be eligible for the free meal if it is a Buy on Board (BOB) flight (this was directly from the AC/AP execs at the YVR meeting in May).
I know it probably doesn't sound fair based on your fare. :p :D
But for your flights, AFAIK, you will get regular meal service as it's not BOB (unless they've changed this recently -- I used to fly that route for about half a year in 2004 and was always given a meal in coach as it was never BOB).

This was brought up at the YVR DO with the exact same argument (and that many of us, including myself, agree with), however I believe it was Charlie McKee who said "no" that tickets booked on "W" are not eligible for the free meal on BOB flights.

Please note:
YVR still has a meal in the back according to AC.com when booking a ticket. YYC does not on the YYZ sector.
