Whoever said that having a busy schedule starts when youâ ™re already part of the workforce is dead wrong. For one thing, you wouldnâ ™t be equipped to meet the demands of a hassling schedule if you havenâ ™t been groomed in college â “ and in college it DOES start. Aside from your normal study schedule, classes, mixers, organization meetings, sorority gatherings, housemate meetings and bonding sessions, youâ ™d be a bit pressed to find some quality time to yourself, let alone think of romance. That is, if youâ ™d donâ ™t have a steady relationship at this late stage in your college life.

You make an inventory and notice that other than the odd dates here and there, there hasnâ ™t really been anything meaningful at all. And while weâ ™d like to go a bit granny at times and say that this would be particularly good for our focus, this mantra would sound a bit too tiring especially when we feel the need to be close and intimate with someone, or just have someone to regularly go on dates with. And so, surprise, surprise, we realize that it isnâ ™t only those who are already struggling with nine-to-fives who have to make time for, and carve out a niche in, planning how to find a date.
Prelude to Learning - TIME::
Keen was the anticipation of many a college-town merchant. For soon the student army began to appear-some in Science. Is There Life on Saturn's Moon?

Good thing online dating sites are a free-for-all so long as youâ ™re legal. You feel a bit miffed that you have to use a dating service to land, well, dates, but at this point, you need something a lot more organized than your school notes to get the job done. First off, make that profile, and donâ ™t try to misrepresent yourself. If youâ ™ll be meeting up pretty soon, then chances are that your dateâ ™s going to be able to check up on you. Lying would not really be putting your best foot forward. It would either make you look very desperate or spooky, you take your pick.

Also, youâ ™ve probably already had quite a lot of the Internet, what with all the school research you do. Opt to go through this with the intention of actually meeting up for dates, even group ones. If you go into this with the mindset of, â śIâ ™ll just be looking around,â ť or, â śWeâ ™ll just chat,â ť then itâ ™s not going to be productive at all. Most probably, youâ ™ll never even get off your expanding butt because everything you do will be online. Strive for a fair balance between the online and real world, or you might just lose touch with actual social interaction.

Likewise, turn things into your advantage by actually meeting up with these dates. Why waste time and beat around the bush when you have the convenience of meeting them in an upcoming mixer? If you click, then perhaps thatâ ™s the time to space things out and conduct things online, if youâ ™re that busy. The Internet isnâ ™t as geeky as it was first perceived to be, and thereâ ™s nothing un-cool about college students hanging out online if their upperclassmen schedules really are horribly packed.

Another great thing you could do is to integrate your friends into this. If youâ ™ve seen that some of your friends are also suffering from the same upperclassmen schedules as you and are trying to choose between going out on date or having some private R&R with friends, try to get the bundle: ask your guy to IM your other girlfriends, get to know them a bit, then all go out on a group date. This way, you get to date, enjoy your friendsâ ™ companies, and not have to worry that youâ ™re hanging out with a bunch of sickos. Thereâ ™s safety in numbers, but since you went for proximity in the first place, chances are youâ ™ve checked these guys through the roster first before going out with them.

It wonâ ™t be something you can put on your resume, but if you can make dating work as college students, then youâ ™d have learned the mechanics of juggling adult work and romance by the time you graduate.
