On a recent flight, which consisted of two AC legs and two UA legs, I was not credited one of my UA legs. My ticket was marked *G, because they put in Economy Plus and mentioned that was the reason... Sins of all sins, I have lost my boarding pass for that flight. Even though the ticket was booked through AC, they say I must go through UA to get confirmation I was on the flight. UA says they are not sure they can do this, but will try for a $20 fee. Anybody else have this experience in trying to recover miles? Secondarily, my wife was not credited on a SQ flight (which I was) so she faces the same hassle. What are your Alitalia frequent flyer miles worth? -Times Online:: take over the miles from the MilleMiglia program - but I would not count on it either. what if u pay by credit card, wouldnt that insure u against any http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/travel/business/article4767337.eceHOME |
Any suggestions? Other than hold on to boarding passes for dear life.

It is UA that has to make the credit.
Anytime I've taken UA in Economy, I've always been in E+. I've had no problems with AC crediting the miles to Aeroplan.
A long shot...
Do you still have the luggage tags? They could serve as proof.
I do have my luggage tags, that is a good idea, I will try that. Any one have positive experience with this working?

It's not a bad idea to hang on to your BPs. I have stacks of them that I keep with my expense records, and on more than one occasion, they have saved my butt.
