I am looking to buy new home and started looking at various rewards programs that offered points for referrals to mortgage companies. I have a few listed below, please feel free to add to the list and offer opinions on which may be best. I understand there are a few roundabout ways to try to pay your mortgage with your credit card, but this is strictly for initiating a loan.

These are the programs that I participate in. For me, I think perhaps the Priority Club or UA are the ones I might go through. Although Hilton offers more points, I think I can get better value through PC with their point breaks. Marriott only offers Chase (not a problem if you were going to use Chase anyway). Feel free to add additional offers you may find.

IMHO, now is not the time to be looking at miles in the real estate market (much as I love to get miles).
Generally the miles offers are not the best available in terms of cash benefit on the transaction. For example, I would much rather pay 4% commission to a real estate agent than 6% with some miles. The difference is many thousand of dollars.
Back when the market was different I got thousands of miles on loans. Right now, if I were in the market, I would look for very best deal in dollars and ignore the miles. Kinda sad for us miles lovers. :(
I have a large number of these programs and their special offers listed on the Finance page of my website below, in the Home Buying section.
True, you need to look for deals and miles.
I believe both can be found and what a great negotiating tool for RE agents.
We opened a line of credit with Citi Bank, we also have a credit card, home mortgage, checking and savings account (no balance required). They will give you thank you points for all of these accounts every month. In addition to the above mentioned the line of credit earns "thank you" points monthly based on the amount you qualify for and you don't ever have you use it.
(catch: must keep open for three years or repay closing cost expenses)
If you can get points/miles for things you are already purchasing, why not?
Add Continental http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/onepass/earn/financial/default.aspx
and Delta https://www.delta.com/skymiles/ways_to_get_miles/earning_miles_partners/real_estate_financial_partners/index.jsp
to the list.
Super idea!

I'm probably going to buy a house in the next few months and I already considered using eLoan to get my home loan. I figured I might as well get some miles out of it if I were to use eLoan anyway. Of course, I wouldn't do it if the rates are higher with the miles bonus. I already have my own realtor, so I'm not considering using the Realtor referral bonus.
