Hi,
I had a bit of a fall ( stairs) and 3 days later started having some light bleeding ( few small brown clots) for the past 3 days, they now stopped . So my GP sent me to an early pregnancy unit were they performed an internal scan. They found the sak, yolk and foetus but no heartbeat! They said that the foetus measures 6 weeks 3 days old (6mm) but they are not sure if I am going to miscarry or if its too early for hb. From the last day of my period I am 8 weeks pregnant but because i know that I conceived at least 2 weeks after that I was calculating that I am roughly 6 weeks.
I am terrified, can someone share similar positive experiences please?

I know it is easier said than done but try not to worry. You won't see a heart beat until between 6 and 7 weeks, so it could just be you ovulated a little later than maybe you thought...Hopefully when they do another ultrasound in a week you will be able to see that little heartbeat.

If your baby is measuring six weeks or beyond and you do not see a heartbeat on ultrasound, your doctor will discuss the likelihood of miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. She may order lab work including hCG levels. Due to possible errors in dating or possible equipment errors, she may also order a repeat ultrasound in three to five days.
Don't panic! It is very early to detect heart beat, 'spotting' is very common while pregnant around the time you would normally have had your period. They'll give you another scan and hopefully all will be well. :)
It might be to early to see the little heart beating. For now..you should relax and not worry. I'm sure everythig is okay! Good luck!
I think it's too early for the heartbeat to be there. Sometimes there is a bit of light bleeding during the first few weeks of pregnancy with roughly 40% of mothers...this happened to me with both my kids and was what the OB doctor said....rest, take care of yourself and try not to worry too much. but you are still within the normal range of expected ultrasound 6w0d no hb with dd, 6w 3d hb but slowJUST started to beat and now she is healthy!

I don't have any experience. II just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking good thoughts for you.
There is a good chance that everything is just fine! Try to relax, is you are threatening a miscarriage you need to try to put it out of your mind and calm your body.
I'm sure you will have a healthy baby in your arms in a few months..Just think good thoughts and I will too!
the heart beat can be seen on an ultrasound 3 wks. after conception. i would get a second opinion.

i think you should get a second opinion as well. you can usually see the hb on an ultarsound when you are 6 weeks. Maybe your off on your conception, and are not quite 6 weeks?
also, have they been measuring your HCG levels?
