I am 15 weeks along and have a doctors appt next week (which would put me at 16 weeks then) and I have heard different times (16 wks and 20 wks) at which you can find out what it is. And when I left my last visit the doc said we would do a "full OB workup" (which I dont know what that means either) and I asked him specifically is that when we find out what it is and he told me no it is the next appt after that. I just want to make sure because my hubby wants to be there when we find out if he can, though he said if the doc can tell at this appt not to wait and just bring him a copy of the ultrasound. I just was wondering when you may have found out what you were having and what a full OB work up is (my last visit was the pap smear and blood work with a quick ultrasound to determine heartrate) Thanks for any help
I found out at 12 weeks with my last child. He was in the right position. With my other two I found out at 20 weeks and then at 36 weeks! My middle child just didn't want to let us know lol.
i was 17 weeks. a boy is easier to tell what it is than a girl. so if they don't know what it is by 18 weeks than it is probably a girl.
I found out when my babies were born - and that was fine. My concern was that they were healthy. I can't understand why people are so desperate to know! Ring the surgery and ask what a full OB workup will involve. We found out at 20 weeks!
16 weeks is when I had my pelvic exam and breast exam and things like that and i thought that was called a full ob workup but it must not be since you had that already. I had my next appointment at 20 weeks and that was when they scheduled my ultrasound to find out the gender a few days after my appointment.
DON'T DO IT. YOU MAY REGRET IT LIKE I DID. THEY TOLD ME THE WRONG SEX AND THAT WAS A BIG SET BACK.

I was 18 weeks they say anywhere from 18-22 weeks you can fine out!
Will you be having an ultrasound at this appt?? That is how they find out and they usually do this at your 18ish week ultrasound. It is not a for sure thing though. Sometimes the baby is in the wrong position etc.
I've had 2 children and I have no clue what a full ob work up is!!I would think that what you had last time would be?!?!

I was at 18 weeks when I found out.
my SIL saw her babies gender than and it was right. I had mine at 22 weeks with my cute as a bug in a rug daughter and this baby is 3 weeks at 18 weeks I am so thrilled !! I cant wait Anyway good luck and let me know. I am 15 weeks along 2

I am not sure what a "full OB workup" is, but if I were you, I would call the doctor's office and ask. I found out that I'm having a girl at 17 weeks. Best of luck to you and your baby!
