Now that Wayne Bennett has added another achievement to his already impressive resume, the last I heard is he won't be making a decision on his future involvement with the Kiwi's until early '09. If he chooses not to return, should the NZRL consider re-appointing Brian McLennan as Coaching Director while maintaining Stephen Kearney as head coach..? Ride a Wild Pony (1975) - Memorable quotes:: I *know* I can do it. James Ellison: Bluey, take the pony back inside. .. If you bring the pony in, he'll be safe in the police pound, and we shall make http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075141/quotesHOME |
They've obviously relaxed the residency rule that saw the demise of Bluey when he took on the Leeds job..!!
Would the door still be open for Bluey..? and would he work with Kearney..? Or is Kearney ready to go it alone with a 'real' assistant..?
I Beleive the temptation for Bennet to try and defend the world cup will be what keeps him in the Kiwis for the nxt four years
Shet. I would be over the moon if he came back.
I think Wayne did a great job which the Kiwis have been missing in their games and I would love to have or see him assist Kiwi coach for at least two more years. They (Kiwis) have learnt a lot from this WC and they must go all out to secure his services for at least a couple of years. I thought discipline is a key issue here. I am a keen fan of the Brisbane Broncos and I like his ways.Very humble man indeed, unlike the worst WC coach, Ricky "Crying" Stuart of the red hot kanagaroos who would not jump when it mattered most. For Bluey...............I think Kearney is the man for now. He certainlt got a lot of experience from the WC......
i dont know and dont really care. blogs.thewest.com.au » Blog Archive » NEWS BLOG - The cost of :: Bluey likes to bring the paper to you in her mouth (The West of course) then Come to think of it my wife would never ride in the back of the ute either http://blogs.thewest.com.au/news/news-blog-the-cost-of-owning-a-dog/HOME | GP Forums - RLWC Grand Final - Australia Kangaroos V New Zealand Kiwis:: 25 posts - Last post: Nov 19Bring back Bluey ffs. --- I'm a camper :) The art of camping is very much alive. :D And that's the end of that chapter. http://www.gpforums.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&postid=5603512HOME |
i just hope Wayne can guide the Dragons to the '09 Premiership!!!
i think wayne is just passing with kiwis or i should he is sitting on the fence... but for Bluey the doors closed coz kearney better off than him.
You know, in the darkest deepest nights of our league despair, when the kiwi faithful were questioning whether we'd see the light of day as far as NZ league was concerned. A humble young man called Bluey arose from the depths of his club level to give hope to all kiwi's in a way that we hadn't celebrated league since the good ole days of the Tamati brothers, Filipina, Sorenson, Leuluai & co. It was great to see the spirit of the game alive in the kiwi team. It would have been good to see it continue, but it wasn't too be.
No thanks to Graham Lowe.
But we've had to move forward unfortunately because of that outcome which at first was a struggle with the likes of Gary Kemble (not his fault of course). He was basically fed to the lions because we had no back up options after Graham Lowe killed our first option in Bluey.
Because of Kemble the NZRL have been forced to make the necessary changes and fortunately for us, they're good changes that has brought great success in such a short time. Kearney is still young and he's got the best advisor you could ever ask for in the game of league and you can only see it going from strength to strength.
Should bluey be involved somewhere in NZ league? Absolutely, he's still by all means a valuable asset that we should be looking after. Because we lack the depth!
Heres my question?
Why would someone get bored with doing IT for 10 years?
