when i get my pencil and paper i think of things i want to draw but i can't think of anything at all!!!! i used to draw like everyday but somehow i drifted from that so now im trying to get back to drawing again but now i don't know what i want to draw...
Usually, ideas will come to you unexpectedly or when you're not trying too hard to think of ideas. They'll come naturally.
If waiting doesn't work, then try visiting an art museum or looking at drawings online for ideas. It often helps to inspire something. Obamma “Uhh . . . Seeking,
Yeah, just like writers get "writer's block," we artists get "artist's block." It's fairly easy to get unblocked, though. Revert to the most basic part of art: practice!
Just go outside and draw something you see. Don't bother trying to find something that inspires you -remember everything is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Draw the first thing you see 10 times, from different angles. Draw it a little better each time. At this time you are working to improve your technical skills, not just for the pure joy of it. Now go inside, open a book with photos to any page, and draw that 10 times. Same way as before. Next, find another place to see something to draw 10 times and do it. Keep improving your abilities like this. Some where along the way you will run into inspiration. Now your skills are better than before because you've done the most important part of art: practice, practice, practice. What if I don't want a Big Mac? The "feeling" in art is that inspiration, and it's not always there. If you wait for it you won't be doing much art. The practice gets you on the road to inspiration, though.
Another exercise you can use is to draw something you are already good at, fast. Choose the same thing, drawing it faster each time. If you need more ideas you may email me through my profile here at Yahoo! Answers.
Heres my question?
Why would someone get bored with doing IT for 10 years?
