I don't know anyone that has got pregnant with the implant and as far as I'm aware it's 99% effective so a very good method of preventing pregnancy. Plus you don't have to worry about forgetting to take the pill etc. But remember it doesn't protect you against STIs, you should still use a condom, especially with a new partner.
