Nothing to do with parents as far as I'm concerned. It's purely psychological.
There's no one type. Although it was once though that schizophrenics had "cold" mothers - emtionless, etc - this was quite soundly dissproven by the 90s. And as Michelle said, not all schizophrenics have a parent with schizophrenia. No other personality traits are significantly correlated with schizophrenia, and parents are not actually frequently the reason for the onset of schizophrenia. This is typically a period of stress later in life; late teens, early twenties, when parents are much less of an influence. So there is no type of parent that will cause schizophrenia. Your reference to "two types" being typical worries me, in case you've fallen into the trap (common, thanks to the general media) of assuming schizophrenia is multiple personalities. It is not. It is also heavily caused by biological factors (much more so generally than unipolar depression, OCD, etc - schizophrenia has one of the highest twin concordance rates of all of them, at around 80%). So parental phenotype - your "type" of parent is not important, but parental genotype might well be.

Some theories suggest that children who receive mixed messages from their parents develop Schizophrenia , (Lidz and Fleck ,1985)
So i guess, having "two types" could play a part, but i think it mainly means from both.
Other parent/child relation factors that are said to be correlated in the cause of the disorder are; problems in early mother-infant bonding, strong parental intrusiveness, and chaos.
Also prenatal problems and brain development are something else that can cause schizophrenia.
However the biggest contribution the parents can make is the genetic predisposition for schizophrenia,
As shown by family studies and twin studies comparing identical (monozygotic) and non identical twins (dizygotic).
Although the environment in which these genetically vulnerable children are raised can effect as whether schizophrenia develops, and this is demonstrated by studies on genetically vulnerable monozygotic twins separated at birth. (Kallman,1938)
Other research shows that children that are born in the winter months are more likely to develop schizophrenia. Due to virus and infection.
So the type of parents that conceive in summer? :p
Hope this helps :)
I am schizophrenic and neither of my parents have the disorder.
There is no "usual" type of parent of a person with schizophrenia. Although genetic factors most assuredly play a major role in the development of the disorder, by no means do most sufferers have one or more parents with the disease. In fact, only 10% of sufferers have one or more first degree relatives with the same diagnosis.

Someone I live with has schizophrenia. He's 65 I think, and his parents, well, I wasn't around to know them, but they were like a typical Italian family I guess, but his father was mean to him. My mother says his whole family was crazy except for the sister, so I don't know.
It's normally a man and a woman
1% of the population will have schizophrenia or a psychotic disorder regardless of the parents they have. If someone is prone to schizophrenia, they will acquire it through environmental factors and bio-chemical factors.
A common reference is like 3 cups of liquid, one is empty and can take a lot of stress and it's likely not to overflow. The second is half full and will be more prone to overflowing than the first. The third is close to overflowing in the first place and just a small amount will make the cup overflow. The same can be said about schizophrenia. Really, we all have the chance at a psychotic disorder if we stress ourselves out enough, but most of us are just lucky enough to go a lifetime without "overflowing".
A little side note here: we still don't know how or why this happens. Schizophrenia and Psychosis just happen, your guess is as good as mine or anyone else's with a background in psychology.
Heres my question?
Why would someone get bored with doing IT for 10 years?
