i have one on my lower back the pain was medium, one on my shoulder the pain was mild...one on my neck the pain was outrageous!!!

I have a back piece and it hurt all over specially in the shoulder and spine area, BUT every body is different and it all depends on your pain resistance. It took 8 months to have my tattoo finished and it hurt every single time. I say either you want a tattoo or you don't because wither way it is going to hurt so get it wherever you want to get it and remember it only hurts while they are doing it, once they stop it only feels like a sunburn....

Tattoos do not really hurt they way people lead you to believe. Got one on my lower arm........... and I'm bad with pain, but it was no big deal. Can't get a tat is your gonna be a wussy about it. Just do it and have fun.
why do you want a tatto ? if you are worried about it hurting you shouldn't get one.
i don't know for sure..since i have never had one but people who had told be it best if it's not on any boney parts cuz it hurts the most...

i can tell you where it hurts more-the top of your foot and the outside of your calf! I almost fell asleep getting ink on the top of my wrist and on my chest, though!

your leg and ankel area is the least pain you cant really feel it i hav 23 tattoos and the ones on my leg i could barely feel

I got one on 2 on my shoulders and one on lower back that took an hour pretty intense and then my ankle was alright then the spider on my chest hurt sometimes specially near the bone in the middle. shoulder I guess is the least of my pain.

Well it's pretty much going to hurt everywhere...atleast for most people it's that way. However, it supposedly hurts less on places that have more fat...so try those places.
back has the least number of nerves.
it doesnt hurt at all; if you put it on someone else. the next best place is where you can cover it easily. sometimes you will want it outta site.especially if you dont wanna be i.d.'d by it.
