Hi everyone,
i tried all the operations described in faqs present into the guide section without the component cable, just to check if my european hard-modded xbox supports HD modes. (i.e. installed enigmah and switched mode to NTSC)
I achieved the NTSC mode on my xbox but i can't see any high-res modes into the xbox dashboard: it is just because i didn't connect it with the special cable or there is any other problem?

Yeah, the xbox is somewhat "smart" it knows if the HD cable is in use and enables/disables the mode accordingly.
Well, well, well worth the investment... be carefull though, some i hear have no optical connector (If you use optical for surround, it's a must) some of the brands are roumered to be inferior quality and cause interference.... but as the xbox is pretty dead now... i took what i could find and it worked out great for me.

That second one "looks" exactly like the one i use, and have no problems with picture/sound quality.....
