i have a shure xlr microphone i want to hook up to my xbox for drunken karaoke nights. i can easily convert this to 1/4", but when i go 1/4" -> mini and into the xbox communicator, it does not work for some reason. is there any possible way to get this thing working... even if it means breaking apart my xbox communicator and wiring the microphone directly to the damn thing.

the microphone is a standard jack type not the xlr 3 pin type,
its really the microphone adaptor from music mixer that you want,
even thou they give you a microphone, the microphone its self it not to bad but there seems to be a slight lag in vocal playback time, its about 3/5th,3/4 of a seconds to slow to output the vocal signal from the mirophone using the adaptor, so it can be off putting, but maybe this is just a problem with one of the drivers in xbmc, and will be corrected in a later build.... all in all its not to bad, but if you have a stand alone amp and mike i reckomed you use it with xbmc as two separates it sonds better, because with the musicmaker microphone into, all you get is a mono signal coming from the center speaker,theres no 5.1 for your lovely singing voice im afraid.
