My 2nd daughter is due a week before christmas. Do i do the santa thing? What to buy her?
I am also due right before christmas. I am doing the Santa thing only because my 1st daughter is only 4 and she wouldn't understand why Santa didn't bring the new baby presents. I am getting her things that she will need, like pacifiers, rattles and such for her stocking. I am getting her a few outfits and some toys that she will grow into )like 6 month old toys). I put my 4 year old in charge of telling Santa what her new sister should get so she feels included. If she is your second daughter, I would do the santa thing so your first one will still see that her baby sister gets things from santa too!
I'd go with just some baby toys. Maybe a Christmas colored stuffed animal or something.
I would do the santa thing because you said this was your 2nd child. If you don't do the santa thing then the other child will ask questions. Just buy some clothes or diapers - or something that she needs that you were going to buy her anyways and wrap it.
Congrats! I would still do Santa just for the fun and pictures! Just a few baby books (the crinkly fabric kind or board books), rattles, new pajamas, a stuffed animal, first Christmas ornament, etc. Birthday Gifts Australia Presents Wine Gift Baskets and Gift :: If your looking for a Baby Gift Baskets, then check out our newborn baby section . I personally would just for my satisfaction even though she will not acknowledge what you done its also great to have for pictures. You could purchase some things that you already planned to buy for her like clothes, pacifier, bibs, jammies, and just wrap them with maybe some little musical bear or something she could benefit from. My second daughter was born november 1 and because I knew she wouldn't have any clue as to what on earth everything was going on I just bought her a play mat with a hanging toy bar. I left it out with my older daughter's santa gifts so it looked like santa brought her baby sister something too. So, when my oldest was unwrapping her gifts I put my baby on her new play mat. It was a nice memory for me and her father and when she gets older she will look back on the pictures and know that even though she was a tiny baby santa still brought her something. I'm on my third child now and he is due on dec 29th. I am going to do the same thing. Even if he doesn't come before christmas and actually waits till his due date at least his older sisters will see that santa doesn't forget even the babies that aren't born yet. If you already have a play mat get something like baby's first doll. They are squishy and come scented. Both my daughters had one. They smelt like powder and lavender.
I didn't get my daughter anything for her 1st Christmas except an ornament. She was born Dec. 21, but wasn't due until after Christmas.
