Dear all,
I'm a newbie on Air Canada, so please excuse me. I did a forum search on lounges in YYZ and noticed a new infield lounge in addition to a popular and crowded T1 MLL lounge and the T1 MLL lounge. I'll be traveling in 3 weeks from YYZ to ORD in C and I'm a *A Gold member, will I have access to the infield lounge? I know that my flight leaves from T2. First of all welcome to AC! No. The infield terminal is only for international departures (LHR, CDG, FRA, etc.) from the satellite terminal. You will not have access to T1 MLL either but rather the old lounge at T2 - which operates transborder operations only. Maybe next time!
In noting my confusion, Yyznomad, you have in effect answered my ill-posed questions. Thanks for your clairty of mind. How could I have mixed up T2 and T3? Must be too much, or too little, flying! Or a failing memory. So, as before, AAAC seems to be the only lounge in T3 for US-bound passengers. Sigh: I'm back to square one. It seems that there aren't any AAAC day passes floating around any more; at least none that I could make a trade for. (Prefer not to pay the somewhat high day-use price AAAC charges at the door.) I wish AA would bring back those handy passes. And, Shareholder, never mind silly me; just take this as a warm "long time no see." Yyznomad, thanks again. Somehow I've always assumed that AAAC was the only lounge available to those flying from YYZ to the US. How long has that MLL been in existence? Thanks.

Not sure what you're talking about, but I'll answer based on my understanding of your question:

At YYZ, there are two terminals where you can fly into the USA: Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.
If you're flying transborder on AC or UA metal, it's out of T2 (where the MLL is).
If you're flying transborder on any other airline metal, it's out of T3 (where all other airline affiliated lounges are, like AAAC).

The "old" YYZ T2 MLL is quite up to date in its decore and facilities, so nothing to look down on. In fact, it is quite large and has several very distinct areas to pass your time in, having been created from the old International MLL and the original Transborder MLL. The big issue for T2 is the lengthy process of precleaing US Customs and Immigration. Except for YYC, YOW and YEG, AC has MLLs at the major Canadian terminals where preclearance to the US exists, all airside after you clear security [and US INS, etc.].
The MLL is just past the news shop and shoe shine stand, on the left as you leave security.

You will note that T1, T2 and T3 are "separate" buildings and are not within walking distance. There are shuttle buses operating between terminals.
You are flying out of T2, so you will be using the MLL @ T2. It is not possible for you to use the MLL @ T1 or the IFT.
